About UKSC The United Kingdom Standing Conference on Health Visitor Education (UKSC) is a body representing all Health Visitor eductation and training centres in the United Kingdom as a forum for discussion and exchange of information and ideas, bringing together activities and research from the four countries. Through the constant contact of its members with Health Visitor managers, practitioners and students, and with the purchasers of health visitor education, Conference is in a unique position to contribute authoritative insights regarding the nature and purpose of health visiting and its past, present and future role in responding to the health needs of the population. As part of the ongoing remit of Conference to consider all matters pertaining to the education and practice of health visitors, a number of issues have been identified by UKSC. These include:
UKSC has drawn up a position statement on ways in which health visiting is to play its key part in a relevant and up to date fashion in relation to the population health needs of the 21st Century. |
